A successful music label in the 21st century will be a hybrid of a traditional music label and an innovative technology company with a direct consumer presence. We are focused on independent music labels and content. We are not trying to create blockbuster mega-hits, we seek to find and promote emerging artists and play an active role in helping them become successful. In return, we participate broadly in the economic and financial returns generated.
We seek to develop a direct and recurring relationship with fans and consumers by helping them connect with, and become part of, the artists extended network of community, content, merchandise and events.
The 21cmusic tech team's mission is to create the technical platform that will enable us to do this and do it better than other labels, better than bands can do on their own, better than mass market digital music retailers, and better than broad based community oriented sites which don't own or control their own music content. We intend to set the standard for the industry.
